Harry Potter fans around the world are buzzing with excitement after the news that Daniel Radcliffe, who famously played the boy wizard, is expecting his first child with his long-term partner Erin Darke.

The couple reportedly met on the set of "Kill Your Darlings" back in 2013 and have been in a relationship for over a decade now. Radcliffe played poet Allen Ginsberg in the film while Darke played Gwendolyn, his love interest.
The 33-year-old actor took to his Instagram page to share the happy news, leaving a cryptic message which read: "👶 In the making." The post also included hashtags like #parenting #expecting #soon #family #love #happy #beautiful #amazing #news, leaving no doubt about the couple's excitement.
Daniel Radcliffe achieved stardom as a young actor in the widely successful Harry Potter franchise, in which he portrayed the main character role. In recent years, he has taken on other projects, including the lead role in the Weird Al Yankovic biopic.
In an interview with Newsweek, the actor revealed his desire to have children and to have them around film sets: "I want my kids - if and when they exist - I would love them to be around film sets."
Erin Darke, who was born in Michigan, is also an accomplished actor, best known for her role in the 2015 series Good Girl Revolt and other shows like The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.
The news of Radcliffe's impending fatherhood comes shortly after his Harry Potter co-star Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley in the films, welcomed a daughter with his partner Georgia Groome in 2020.
