At least thirty seven (37) individuals who attended a meet-and-greet event by Fowler sisters were fined for violating the country’s prohibition against mass gathering as mandated by Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases due to COVID-19 pandemic. The said event was organized by vloggers Toni Fowler and her sister Mari Fowler which was intended to promote their new business venture.

According to Toni Fowler, there were only 50 people who initially registered for their event but she didn’t expect that their meet-and-greet event will draw a crowd. The event was held at Toni’s store in Cubao, Quezon City.
“We didn’t expect this many people to show up,” Toni said in an interview with the news program Unang Balita.
A concerned citizen who witnessed the event called the attention of law enforcers from Quezon City Hall to complain about the unauthorized mass gathering. Fowler sisters already apologized for the incident and also shouldered the penalties of the 35 fans who attended their event. Some fans who also attended the event had already left by the time the QC law enforcers arrived and cracked and cracked down on the gathering.
Toni had taken responsibility for the violation committed and she admitted that her team did not coordinate to the barangay prior to their meet-and-greet event.
Anyone who attended during the event and come out COVID-19 positive, the Fowler sisters expressed that they will also take full responsibility to it.
