Filipino singer Katrina Velarde has finally married her American boyfriend Mike Shapiro.
The wedding ceremony was held at the Aquila Crystal Palace Tagaytay Events Place attended by close family members and friends. Velarde, who began her singing career at an early age, rose to stardom after she joined a reality singing competition “The X Factor Philippines” back in 2013. She has since released several studio albums and singles. To name a few of her accomplishments, she is the voice behind the theme song of hit teleserye Honesto entitled “Pananagutan,” Velarde also records the songs “Lason Mong Halik” and “Taksil” under Viva Music. She’s also featured in Gary V’s albums namely “He is Enough” and “Overjoyed.”
Velarde earned the moniker “Suklay Diva” after a video of her singing a Beyoncé song while using a comb as microphone went viral on social media. Velarde is also known for doing impersonation of local and international divas.
